LOCAL SERVICES
Police
The local police authority is the Suffolk Constabulary, which is split into three areas - Eastern, Southern and Western. Our communities
fall within the Eastern area.
The local police station headquarters unit is in Martlesham, and there are police offices in Sutton Heath, Woodbridge, Ipswich and Kesgrave.
The local Community Police Officer is PC Andy Warne.
Welcome to Trudy Sharman PCSO who has joined Woodbridge and District Safer Neighbourhood team as the New Police Community
Support Officer. She will be working at Sutton Heath Police Station alongside PC Andy Warne and will be responsible for 11 local villages
including Hollesley and Boyton. Trudy can be contacted for advice on crime reduction or to discuss any neighbourhood issues on
01473 613500 or via e-mail at Woodbridge.snt@suffolk.pnn.police.uk.
The new national non-emergency number is 101 (available 24 hours a day). This will allow callers to be connected to their local
number. The call cost is 15 pence regardless of day/time or duration.
For more information on the team or its activities please telephone 01473 613500 or visit the website at
www.onesuffolk.co.uk/SaferSuffolk/WoodbridgeandDistrict.
There is also a Mobile Police Station that visits the car park of the Shepherd and Dog in Hollesley for a few hours each month. Details
can usually be found in the 'diary of events' on page 2 of the latest issue of Village Voices magazine. See the link in the Home Page
